How to get the BEST reactions from first looks or first impressions on your wedding day.

I’m not talking about a first look with your partner I’m talking about first looks between you and your wedding party. Whether that be you and your bridesmaids, you and your groomsmen or you and your Mum, your Dad, your sibling or your best friend.

How to make the most of these moments for you and those people you are sharing them with.

These are incredibly intimate and special moments on a wedding day that can be cherished for many years to come by everyone involved. That’s why I believe in documenting them in the right way.

For me it’s really important for you to look back at your wedding photographs and remember how you really felt IN THAT MOMENT.

REAL WEDDINGS

Toni, we cannot say a big enough thank you, we absolutely love the photos. You really have captured the day and fun. You were absolutely fantastic and we are so so thrilled with the photos. HUGE thank you, you really are a talented photographer xx

If you’re looking for an intimate reaction from ONE other person

For example: one family member, one friend…

1. Clear the room of people
2. Give yourself some space, have a moment of quiet.
3. Ask the other person to knock and come into that room
4. Let them come to you.
5. Allow the moment to happen, allow yourselves to feel the emotion
6. GIVE THE MOMENT MORE SPACE (A good documentary photographer will know when you’re ready to move on).

That’s how you’re going to get the most amazing moment for you and the most incredible memories captured for LIFE.

I can’t tell you how amazed we are with all the photos. They are so beautiful! I love the ones of my little grandpa too, very special to have those.

If you are looking for that moment and reaction from a larger group of people

i.e. your bridesmaids, groomsmen, siblings you’re going to want to do this instead;

1. Ask someone to clear the room of everyone apart from those who you want to see.
2. Give yourself a moment of space – wedding mornings can get pretty hectic, FAST!
3. You walk into the room where they are waiting for you
4. You walk towards them
5. Allow all the moments and reactions to happen – they will, trust me!

6. GIVE THE MOMENT MORE SPACE – ENJOY IT!

Last TOP TIP and probably the most important one.

People don’t need to be there that aren’t the people who are there to see YOU!

Maybe just your photographer(s) and videographer(s)

And remember;

ENJOY THE MOMENT!

WEDDING PLANNING INSPIRATION

Oh Toni, that photograph of me and my Dad has just made me cry!

You managed to capture such a magical moment for me to always treasure. I can hear my Dad saying the words he whispered from your photographs.

Wonderful memories, amazingly captured and I can never thank you enough.
