HOW EXCITING! You’re getting married!

I love wedding photography. Not only do I get to see people on one of the happiest days of their lives but I get to freeze those happy moments in time and makes them ever lasting memories. I love it! Every single wedding is so different, they each have their own little story of emotion, which is what makes my ‘job’ so inspiring. Can I even call it a job?

I absolutely LOVE my job! It feels like such an incredible honour to capture so many important memories that I know people will treasure for a lifetime. For me that’s so incredibly special. You can see some of my personal favourite memories from my most recent weddings in the video below.

A little bit about me.

I am a full time wedding photographer based in Lancashire, so wedding photography is all I do. This means I am always available to my couples. I have been a photographer for 7 years now, in which time I have covered over 100 weddings.

I’m pretty obsessed with taking pictures. I might not print them as much as I should but I’m constantly documenting my days in a diary of pictures.

My life revolves around my work, my family and friends. I’m a bit of a sports enthusiast too. I have a love hate relationship with Crossfit and regularly play netball. I also spend a good number of hours walking my awesome dog, Yossi. One more thing, I’m addicted to diet coke.

My style.

Primarily, I am a documentary wedding photographer. Please click here to find out more about what that means to me.

For me wedding photography is not just about capturing the standard parts of the day. Every wedding follows a format but for me it’s the unique emotion of your day which I really want to capture. It’s the tender touch between you both, the little wink, the tear that’s not quite escaped. It’s the gasp of excitement and the belly laugh that you just can’t hold in. To me, those moments are far more important than a staged photograph of your cutting the cake. My job is to document your wedding, in a very natural way. All those little moments will then add up to tell the very personal story of your wedding.

In years to come I want you to look at your wedding imagery and remember how you felt in those exact moments.

“I’m a friend that wants the best for you and your wedding”

On your wedding day.

When it comes to photographing your wedding day, I like to keep things very simple and only offer one package. This includes me photographing the whole of your day, from the excitement of you getting ready in the morning all the way through to your first dance. As I am there for the whole of your day, I don’t have to rush anything and I can capture the complete story of your special day in a very relaxed and unobtrusive style, which is something I find my couples really appreciate.

As you have possibly noticed from the images on my website, my style of photography is quite contemporary. You’ll mainly find me using the natural light as I find that to be most flattering. On your wedding day itself I like to keep formal posed pictures to a minimum – parents and older relatives do sometimes expect them so it’s important to have a few, but I’d keep them relaxed and fun.

I’d also whisk the two of you off for a couple of 15 minute portrait sessions during the day itself. These can be as relaxed or as magazine style as you like. The remainder of the day you’ll find me blending in with your family and friends capturing the details and moments as they happen. However I may direct you a little to the best light and the slightly more flattering angles.
