I know this may sound a little crazy but Falcon Manor Country House is genuinely one of my all time favourite venues in the North-West. The staff at James’ Places just KNOW how to make your dream wedding come true! I’m also including Mitton Hall, Shireburn Arms, Eaves Hall and Holmes Mill in this. I just love them all.
Amy + Kyle, I don’t even know how to start this. You guys are AWESOME. I absolutely loved every single second of being your wedding photographer, even now after your wedding day there are so many things that make me smile from your special day. I’m even smiling now. I think I like how you guys aren’t the ‘romantic type’ but even still you’re so incredibly well suited and I think you are the romantic type but in your own special way.
I arrived at the bridal suite on the morning of the wedding and was instantly welcomed into the “crisp party” – I’ll come back to that. I remember thinking / saying, girls you’re actually going to have to stop talking to me in a minute, I’m NOT a bridesmaid! ha ha. I can honestly say my stomach was probably hurting from laughing, it was so much fun, it was nice to be there to capture best friends, being best friends.
I’m our pre wedding meeting I somehow managed to give Kyle, the groom, a photography lesson, so when I caught up with him and the boys later in the morning he was already standing in the most perfect light, although I got told off after because it wasn’t documentary enough. That’s what I love about these two, they are so lovely but so dry and honest that I can’t help but LOVE them!
The wedding ceremony was so lovely, Amy was led down the aisle by her son Zach carrying a little sign. He just looked like the most adorable page boy in his little shorts and braces. I love how being a wedding photographer you have the ability to capture moments at weddings that aren’t always visible to the bride and groom at the same time.
Back to the crisps, Amy and Kyle are massive crisp fans, the reception drinks of “Prosecco in posh glasses” was accompanied by not only crisps but crisps that had the bride and grooms faces on! Complete genius! On this beautiful summer’s day in August the guests had an afternoon in the gorgeous gardens. I love this time of day at a wedding, I think it’s everyone’s favourite. It’s lovely to capture guests laughing and joking in their natural friendship groups. I think you can see from the photographs that these guys had an awesome time celebrating their extremely fun wedding day at Falcon Manor. In fact I think it would be fair to say the only time people weren’t laughing their socks off was during the incredibly moving and heartfelt speeches, at which point there wasn’t a dry eye in sight!
Thank you so much for allowing me and trusting me to document your amazing wedding in the best way I know how, I had the best time xx
Love the opening shot, wonderful natural Images
