Hargate Hall is a beautiful family owned wedding venue in the picturesque Peak district. This little hidden gem in Buxton is the perfect place to say “I DO” if you’re looking for a magical yet traditional or romantic wedding. The best part is you get the whole hall for the entire weekend so you can really make this place your own dream wedding venue by adding bunting, fairy lights, candles. 

Ione and Simon definitely made the most of this gorgeous wedding venue and turned their wedding into a weekend of celebrations. As there is plenty of accommodation on site this allowed Ione to get ready with her full bride tribe whilst they had hair and make up during the morning of preparations. Hargate Hall allows you the option to get married outside too which was just perfect. That’s where Simon and the guys spent the morning, making sure the ceremony was the perfect setting to exchange vows. Getting ready and married in the same venue on the morning of a wedding really allows the full story to be documented in photographs. 

The sun was beaming through the trees during the outdoor wedding ceremony. I loved Simon’s reaction as he saw his bride for the first time. It was so nice to photograph not only the bride and groom during this magical ceremony but to also capture the emotion between the family and friends as they all witnessed these special moments shared by the couple. 

I’m so passionate about documenting weddings in a natural way because for me the wedding is about telling the unique story of a couple on their wedding day. My aim is to capture real moments and natural reactions in a way that brings your wedding day to life every time you revisit your wedding photographs. Ione and Simon trusted me solely to capture their wedding in a completely unposed way that really tells the story of not only their two families becoming united as one but how much fun they had on this very special occasion.
