The Saddleworth Hotel is one of the leading venues in the North West. It’s magnificent views across the Saddleworth countryside and it’s stunning interior make it one of the finest wedding venues in the area. Sion and Sam had the most glorious outdoor wedding in the summer sunshine at this amazing location, saying their vows under the sandstone gazebo.

This perfect wedding day was packed with fun and excitement from beginning to end. The story starts as I arrived in the morning to photograph the girls in the apartments located on the grounds. (They have floor to ceiling windows which made them all bright and spacious for lovely photographs). As I pulled into the driveway I was greet by the bridesmaids dancing in these windows! I knew it was going to be action packed from there on in! It was so nice to document all of the brides family enjoying each others company as they prepared for the day ahead.

On the day I also had a super star second shooter with me Will Stockton who caught up with Sam and the boys before the outdoor wedding ceremony. It’s always nice to document these two separate stories on the morning of a wedding day.

The bride and groom could not have wished for a better weather for their outdoor wedding. The aisle is centred within the stunning gardens with picturesque views of the Saddleworth moor on one side and the deep pine forest on the other. I absolutely love photographing weddings outside. It creates a wonderful sense of excitement and freedom. After the ceremony I took the happy couple for a little wander into the pine forest with the bridal party for some stunning group photographs. Venturing around the gardens and swimming pool for some more creative portraits of the bride and groom.

The staff at the Saddleworth Hotel were extremely accommodating in making sure the day ran as smoothly as possible. The guests made their way into the ultra modern ballroom where they settled in for great food during the wedding reception. I have to say these guys know how to party. The wedding went on until the early hours with a jam packed dance floor full of their family and friends dancing the night away!
