STYLISH CITY CENTRE ELOPEMENT MANCHESTER
Some couples know exactly what they want. A shared Pinterest board. A specific mood. A day that feels less like a wedding and more like the most stylish afternoon of their lives. Sierra and Justin were those people and photographing them through the streets of Manchester city centre was one of those shoots I’ll think about for a long time.

what is a registry office elopement?
An elopement doesn’t have to mean sneaking off in secret (though it absolutely can). These days, it simply means a small, intentional wedding, just the two of you or with a handful of your favourite people.
Sierra and Justin married at Bury Register Office: legal, intimate, and done entirely on their terms. Then they handed the rest of the day to Manchester. The city became the venue. The streets became the backdrop. And what followed was less like a wedding shoot and more like a fashion editorial, cocktails included.

the Manchester edit.
Sierra came to me with a vision. An off the shoulder white gown with a leg split that moved like it was made for city streets. Justin in a sharp suit and black tie. A specific look. A specific feeling. We’d been sharing a Pinterest board for weeks before the shoot, building a mood that was stylish, editorial, and entirely them.
We started on the steps of Manchester Central Library, that sweeping neoclassical facade doing exactly what you’d hope it would. Before moving through St Peter’s Square and past the Manchester Art Gallery. The city gave us columns, cobbles and quiet corners. Sierra and Justin gave everything else.
better than we ever imagined.
Later in the afternoon, we ducked inside for cocktails and not just anywhere. Sierra and Justin had spotted certain images on their Pinterest board that they were determined to recreate in a bar setting and we more than pulled it off. We ended up in a private bar at The Midland Hotel: all dark wood, low light and that particular kind of quiet that only the best hotels have. Intimate doesn’t quite cover it. It felt genuinely special – the kind of hour that doesn’t need anyone else in the room.
And then there were the polaroids. I brought along my grandad’s vintage polaroid camera, because some moments deserve to exist on actual film. There’s something about a polaroid – the warmth of it, the slight imperfection that no digital file can replicate. Sierra and Justin understood that completely. Those little square prints are going to last a lifetime.

the city centre locations.

SIERRA | JUSTIN
Manchester Central Library. Those steps. Those curved walls. It’s one of the most architecturally dramatic spots in the city and somehow still feels undiscovered as a wedding location. We made it ours for the afternoon.

ST PETERS SQUARE
St Peter’s Square gave us space, movement, and light. Sierra’s wedding dress was made for the city streets and Justin looked every inch the leading man.

THE MIDLAND HOTEL
A private bar. Low light. Cocktails that arrived looking like they belonged in a magazine. The Midland delivered, quietly and completely.

KIND WORDS
Seriously can’t stop looking at them! All of them are just so GOOD! I just love the ones on the side of the Midland with the tall buildings behind. So CUTE! Thank you!

Hey, I’m Toni. I love old photographs, the kind with crumpled edges that your grandparents would dig out on a rainy day. I love that they would always know the full story hidden within every single one. I have an obsession with polaroids and real film, giving me that feeling where one memory could live a life of it’s own.
