Set on the banks of the River Wyre The River Barn is the perfect place to tie the knot. The grounds are picture perfect, covering 5 acres of tree lined driveway, perfectly manicured walled gardens and protected woodland. An amazing countryside location for your wedding day. The rustic beam is an incredible blank canvas for both large and intimate weddings. Full height windows allow the light to flood into the main barn and the exposed wooden beams and extremely high ceilings make this space the perfect place to say “I do”.

Picture perfect locations for your wedding photographs at The River Barn

There’s so many places for amazing photographs at The River Barn. The walled gardens are the perfect location for your family group photographs while your guests are enjoying drinks in the gardens. This means that all your guests are within easy reach for photographs. I love using the backdrop of the tree lined driveway as the sun is behind highlighting all the woodland. 
At this time I also love using the Tudor Manor private gardens for more intimate photographs of the couple. The views of the rolling hills out the back are absolutely divine and make the most amazing backdrop. When your guests are then being seated for dinner this is the best time to use the walled gardens. It means you can have gorgeous photographs without the audience of your wedding guests. 
After your evening meal during golden hour is the best time to have sunset photographs with the River Wyre as the backdrop. The way the sun falls at this time is just amazing. 

Intimate Weddings

The River Barn is perfect for intimate wedding day celebrations. The main rustic barn is split into two. One side for larger receptions and the other for smaller more intimate wedding ceremonies and drinks receptions. I love photographing smaller, more intimate weddings at The River Barn as it’s so cosy and personal. You still have the rustic interior of the barn and the natural warm environment of the exposed wooden beams.
Walking down the aisle feels exactly the same as walking from the doors at the back of the space before taking your steps down the aisle. The way the light floods into the room from here is just magical. Imagine saying your vows with the beautiful walled gardens as your backdrop.
