Perfect Country House Wedding Venue in Lancashire

I think I’m quite lucky living in Lancashire. Surrounded by endless beautiful countryside with many idyllic wedding venues to choose from. The Villa at Wrea Green is definitely up there in my Top 10 Wedding Venues in Lancashire, it’s just perfect. This glorious summer wedding at The Villa ticked all boxes for me. I mean every one!

Super sexy beaded wedding dress.
Epic love story.
Real emotion.
Glorious sunshine.
Rocking dance floor.

These two combined with their amazing wedding guests made my job ridiculously fun!

The wedding day begins before the wedding day itself. Meeting brides and grooms like Stacey and Cliff makes the side of my job that you don’t always see totally awesome. I’m naturally a people person and I love meeting new people. I see every wedding as a brand new love story to document which makes it super exciting meeting new couples. I remember meeting these guys before their wedding day to discuss their plans and totally jumping round with my hands everywhere after they left. These guys were in LOVE. The journey of their love story was like something out of a film! It all starts here…

If you’re planning on getting ready on your wedding day at the Villa at Wrea Green then I bet you’ll have seen the spacious suite with endless mirrors that’s perfect for your morning preparations! Stacey and her bride tribe looked ace, all with matching dressing gowns. 

Meanwhile down a different wing of the hotel I caught up with the groom, Cliff as he made her own morning preparations with his side of the wedding party. Who I think on a whole were trying to keep him off the coffee in between all the shaves and hugs! It’s so nice being able to capture both sides of the story at this point as the bride and groom will only ever see their own perspective during this time. 

The wedding ceremony for me was so prefect to document as the humanist style ceremony unfolded the journey of their love from beginning to end. It was genuinely like something out of a film. Somewhere along the lines of Love Actually. Stacey and Cliff even up until a month after their wedding date were living at opposite sides of America. It almost seems unfair that two people who are clearly so perfect for each other have to fight to hard to have a long distance relationship, but I guess when you know you know. That’s what’s so special.

Bride and Groom Photographs at Sunset

The gardens and outdoor space within the grounds of the Villa at Wrea Green is perfect for stunning wedding photographs in the evening. The sun sets across the fields leaving a beautiful warm glow. I took Stacey & Cliff outside approximately and hour before sunset which was timed just before they hit the dance floor for the first time. It’s always quite nice for the Bride and Groom to step away from the wedding for this 10-15 minute portrait session. It’s a time for you to just be you. Let go and take in the day, the experience and the time you’ve shared together before you party the night away. Stacey and Cliff fit together like a little jigsaw. They just melted into each others arms as the light just hugged them in the most dream like manor.

Pavilion Marquee

One of my favourite parts of documenting every wedding day is the dance floor. Everyone just lets loose. Throwing arms, legs and sometimes people, these guys were hear to PARTAAAAAY! The Pavilion Marquee at The Villa at Wrea Green creates the perfect atmosphere to create a night to remember. I have to say a HUGE thank you not only to Stacey and Cliff but also to their wedding guests for welcoming me to document such an incredible and memorable wedding. Toni xxx
