EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GETTING MARRIED AT MANCHESTER REGISTRY OFFICE
The Registry Office is located in Manchester City centre. Walking distance from amazing reception venues, restaurants and bars.
Around the corner you have picture perfect locations for super stylish couple photographs in the city. My favourite locations include Manchester Central Library in St Peter’s Square, the way the light just falls from the stone is magic. The Town Hall in Albert Square because it’s so grandeur. If you’re looking for something more urban you’ll love the Northern Quarter and if industrial is more your vibe then you’ll the areas surrounding Castlefield and Deansgate Locks.
Whether you choose to have a simple wedding ceremony with a handful of your family and friends or opt for a larger celebration with your wider circle, the Registry Office is the perfect spot for weddings in Manchester. In this guide I’ve put together everything you need to know about planning your own wedding at the Registry Office.
Ceremonies at the Manchester Register Office are held in the Pankhurst Suite, Heron House, 47 Lloyd Street, Manchester, M2 5LE. The telephone number is 0161 234 5005.

reasons to choose me as your manchester registry office photographer
Registry office weddings have a specific energy , quick, intentional, a little electric – and my job is to stay inside that energy rather than interrupt it.
The couples who tend to book me for registry office weddings already know what they want. They’ve got good taste, they’re not interested in a fuss and they want photographs that actually look like them. If that’s you, we’re going to get on very well.

REASONS TO HAVE A MANCHESTER REGISTRY OFFICE WEDDING

THE SETTING
CEREMONY
The perfect location no matter the number of wedding guests. All wedding ceremonies are held in the Pankhurst Suite of Heron House.
If you’re looking to elope all you’ll need is a couple of witness, your wedding vows and the rings. If you’re after a bigger celebration there’s room for up to 66 guests in this modern space.
THE LOCATION
CITY CENTRE
City centre weddings have a playful, electric energy you can’t fake. You slip into a room, say your vows and step straight back into the rhythm of the city — traffic, laughter, coffee shops buzzing, strangers cheering you on. It’s spontaneous, joyful, and full of those big, little moments that feel like a movie.
READY TO
PARTY
In the capital of the North you’ll find your ideal location to celebrate. There’s private dining on the skyline at 20 Stories, wine flights and taster menus at Six by Nico. The most theatrical cocktails at The Alchemist. Luxury event spaces at King Street Townhouse.

PHOTO READY
BACKDROP
The advantage of getting married in Manchester City centre is that you can have endless options for your wedding photographs after your ceremony. If you like the architecture of the city we can go to Albert Square with the Town Hall as a backdrop or to the Central Library, my personal fave. Fancy a bit more edge? something a little more unique? Ancoats, the Northern Quarter and Castlefield are all within a few minutes walk away.

THE BEST PHOTO LOCATIONS FOR MANCHESTER REGISTRY OFFICE WEDDINGS
Manchester Central Library is my personal favourite and once you see it, you’ll understand why. The stone columns and curved facade catch the light in a way that feels almost cinematic. Couples look incredible here. It’s got grandeur without being stuffy and there’s always a quiet corner if you want something more intimate.
Albert Square and the Town Hall is pure drama. If you want photographs that look like they belong in a fashion editorial, this is where we’re going. The Gothic architecture is unlike anything else in the city and it photographs beautifully in almost any light.
The Northern Quarter is for couples who want something with a bit more edge. Exposed brick, painted shutters, independent coffee shops – it’s got texture and personality in every direction. If your wedding vibe is more vinyls and cocktail bars than fine dining, this is your place.
Castlefield and Deansgate Locks has an industrial warmth that’s surprisingly romantic. Think canal reflections, low bridges, and the kind of moody golden-hour light you can’t plan for. It’s quieter than the city centre too, which means we can slow down and actually enjoy it. It’s so close to Castlefield Rooms too if you’re having a larger celebration after.

“TONI WE don’t know how you do it. IN SUCH A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME YOU HAVE CAPTURED OUR TRUE SELVES SO PERFECTLY”

QUESTIONS
Hey, I’m Toni. I love old photographs, the kind with crumpled edges that your grandparents would dig out on a rainy day. I love that they would always know the full story hidden within every single one. I have an obsession with polaroids and real film, giving me that feeling where one memory could live a life of it’s own.
