Magical Wedding Venue in Lancashire
Samlesbury Hall is just magnificent and one of my favourite venues to photograph weddings at in Lancashire. The 14th century historic stately home with it’s fabulous half-timbered black and white exterior leaves your jaw on the floor. It is one of the region’s great wonders, where the past meets the present. The Hall itself leaves you full of intrigue with it’s centuries of fascinating history.
I’ve had the pleasure of working in many of Lancashire’s wedding venues but there is something extra special about Samlesbury Hall. The grand building is set within it’s own private grounds which is just perfect for your wedding celebrations. Providing total exclusivity for you and your guests for the entire day.
It’s such an amazing place to get married, if you have chosen Samlesbury Hall as your wedding venue, congratulations! You must be so excited!

Why do I love photographing weddings at Samlesbury Hall?
Samlesbury Hall is a great wedding venue whatever the weather or the season. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings here on the most glorious summer days but also in the darkness of winter and I have loved every single one.
The private gardens within the grounds is the perfect setting for summer portraits. In winter the trees glow orange but in the summer the blossom and roses create long lasting romance. When photographing weddings at Samlesbury Hall I also like to make the most of the heart warming interior, especially in the winter. Creating more artistic wedding photographs with the candles and fires means there is endless possibilities for new and exciting ideas. The end result meaning your photographs are always unique.
Bridal Preparations in the Lodge
Samlesbury Hall’s Lodge, tucked behind the driveway, is ideal for the morning preparations of the bridal party. I love photographing here on the morning of a wedding, there is always such a feeling of excitement in the air. The exterior is blended perfectly to that of the Main Hall whilst being discreetly hidden in the trees and being only a short walk to the Hall, it means you can be relaxed and comfortable from the word go. As there is no driving between venues or to ceremonies it creates a calming feeling. It has been ideally equipped to cater for every brides needs with large mirrors for all the girls, big light spaces to get dressed in and a cute little bedroom for your nights stay.
Wedding ceremonies in the Whittaker Room
The ceremony room at Salmesbury Hall has the dreamiest light all throughout the year. The tall windows on either side of the room make it just perfect for me to take photographs during your wedding ceremony. The small room feels so intimate and heart warming. It is a stunning place to say “I do”.
The Magnificent Great Hall
For me it truly lives up to its name and is the most amazing setting for your wedding breakfast and reception. The beautiful high ceilings and roaring fires create a great ambiance. I love it when brides and grooms chose to have the banqueting layout too as it’s in keeping with the venue’s heritage.
