Manchester Wedding Photography
Masonic Hall“I just want to say a massive thank you for the wedding photographs, they are amazing! I will most definitely be recommending you to my friends whom plan getting married over the next few years.”
I met Hannah and Anthony before the wedding a couple of times (mainly as an excuse to eat cake) and to share our love of Crossfit). Every wedding is so special in it’s own little way, hearing how much time and effort had gone into this wedding alongside the brides excitement to be marrying her bestie, I just knew it was going to be an incredible day! Hannah had put so much effort into the planning and styling of her wedding to make sure that all her family and friends could share her excitement in getting married to her absolute soul mate. I love getting to know my couples before the wedding day. These guys were no exception! I know they both felt really relaxed and comfortable with me being around which makes it so easy to capture all those natural reactions and emotions over the full day of photographing.
It was the HOTTEST day of the year! 17th June to be exact, I set off to Reform Hair and Beauty in Manchester to meet the bride and bridesmaids for their bridal party preparations of hair and make up! It was so nice to see them all in matching dressing gowns and unique champagne glasses laughing and smiling literally none stop! The girls spent a good couple of hours at the hair and make up salon which for me as a photographer is amazing! I love capturing the full story of a wedding day from beginning to end!
We then went to meet Hannah’s family as the girls got dressed in beautiful flowing pink bridesmaid dresses before assisting the brides into her gorgeous wedding gown. My favourite moments from this part of the day were reactions of family members as they saw the blushing bride to be walk down the stairs. It was a very emotional moment, one I think every girl dreams of as she’s growing up. It’s so nice to document these special moments on a wedding day in sunny Manchester.
The couple got married at St. Mark’s Church in Worsley which is so incredibly beautiful both inside and outside. The stained glass windows made the perfect backdrop on the inside but I also took the newlyweds for a little walk around the church grounds after the ceremony for some gorgeous wedding portraits in the woodland. These are definitely some of my favourite images of the year so far. These two soul mates are just perfect together, you can see how much they love being in each others company!
The wedding celebrations continued in Manchester at the Masonic Hall in Swinton, a place which I know is very special to Hannah and her family for generations. They dressed the room up with amazing long white drapes and highlighted with pink lights. The table centre pieces were covered in matching pink feathers in giant cocktail glasses! It looked incredible! It was the perfect party atmosphere!
As the evening light was so gorgeous I also took the newlyweds to a nearby park for some more natural and romantic evening portraits during the soft light of golden hour. This is something I will try and capture at every wedding. Thank you my couple for trusting me in venturing in the car on a short journey to create the photographs that I know you now love!
It was a beautiful day and quite an emotional one too. Thank you so much to Hannah and Anthony for letting me in and for allowing me to document just a special milestone in your lives! I honestly do feel as though I have the best job! Also a special shout out to a brand new super talented second shooter Will Stockton! Thank you for all your help on the day, you were fantastic to have around!
I Love the photos and the style of capturing the beautiful moments.
